I started self-ACTivate because I know what it means to feel lost.
Not always in an obvious way.
It can start quietly — you keep showing up, keep functioning — but underneath, something just does not click. And if you don’t pay attention, that quiet unease can build until you suddenly start falling apart.
I’ve been there. Through burnout. Through the effort of building a life abroad and searching for where I belonged in it. Through chronic illness — endometriosis — that took not just my energy but my sense of who I was and what I could rely on.
Each time, I had to find my way back. And what helped wasn’t advice, a ten-step plan or an instinct to push through. It was getting honest with myself, focusing on what actually mattered, and starting smaller than I ever thought necessary. And before any of that — learning self-compassion. That’s where it always begins.
That’s what self-ACTivate is built on.
I hope we get to talk soon.
Stay rooted,
Dominika
"It isn't the things that happen to us in our lives that cause us to suffer, it's how we relate to the things that happen to us that causes us to suffer"
often attributed to Gautama Buddha
-
The self.
The starting point.
It is about starting from exactly where you are.
-
Grounded in values.
The foundation everything grows from.
It tells you what matters most, even with the other noise in life.
-
Growth.
The ACT process at work.
The internal work that becomes visible over time.
-
The container.
The framework that holds it together.
Evidence-based, human in practice in a safe space.
On some days you bloom. On others you grow roots. Both are an integral part of the process.
What we work with
-
The approach at the heart of everything I do is ACT — Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It’s not about fixing what’s wrong with you. It’s about getting clear on what matters, making room for the hard stuff without letting it run the show, and taking steps — however small — toward a life that actually feels like yours.
It’s evidence-based, practical, and in my experience, genuinely works.
Complementary Positive Psychology methodologies might also be used as seamless companions to ACT.
Occasionally, I like to draw on systemic coaching — a way of looking at patterns, relationships and the bigger picture of where you find yourself — to bring additional depth where it’suseful.
-
With nearly 20 years in HR, I bring a sharp people lens to corporate work — combined with the strategic thinking that comes from years of advisory experience.
I can support your organisation with team coaching and workplace training — from feedback and conflict management through to resilience and wellbeing. Individual in-company coaching programs are also available.
Policy work is something I can assist with too, especially in the areas where people’s wellbeing is at the centre of things.

Here’s a little more, for those who like to know.
My coaching practice is built on a foundation that has been years in the making — not a single course or certification, but a genuine commitment to understanding people and the many ways life can pull the ground from under you.
Over the past six years I have trained across a range of methodologies, deliberately drawing from different disciplines to be able to meet each person where they are.

Professional background
Before stepping into coaching full-time, I spent nearly 20 years in HR — much of it in advisory and business partner roles. That grounding in how organisations work, how people function under pressure, and what it takes to support someone through professional difficulty is something I bring into every coaching conversation.
