⬢ Who am I
self-ACTivate is a coaching practice run by Dominika den Houdijker-Maj, based in Loenen aan de Vecht, The Netherlands. You can contact me at dominika@self-activate.com.
What data I collect and why
⬢ Newsletter
When you sign up for the self-ACTivate newsletter, I collect your first name and email address. I use this information solely to send you the newsletter and occasional updates about self-ACTivate. I will never use your data for any other purpose.
⬢ Coaching sessions
During coaching sessions I may take handwritten notes to support the quality of our work together. These notes are not stored electronically. I do not collect or store medical or health data. Notes are kept for a maximum of six months after our last session and securely destroyed thereafter.
⬢ Invoicing
If you request an invoice, I will collect your name, address, and any other details required to issue it. This data is handled via Microsoft 365 and retained for seven years in accordance with Dutch financial record-keeping requirements.
⬢ Legal basis
I process your data on the following grounds: your explicit consent (newsletter signup); the performance of a contract (coaching, assignments, projects, invoicing etc.); and legal obligation (financial records).
How your data is stored
⬢ Newsletter, email & website
Newsletter data is stored and processed using Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French company based in Paris, EU. Invoicing and email correspondence is handled via Microsoft 365. This website is hosted on Squarespace, which may collect technical and analytics data about your visit, including IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. For more information see Squarespace’s privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy. All processors operate under GDPR-compliant data protection standards.
⬢ Cookies
This website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can manage your cookie preferences via the cookie notice on this site.
⬢ Storage period
Newsletter data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted within 30 days. Coaching notes are destroyed within six months of your last session. Invoicing data is retained for seven years as required by Dutch law.
⬢ Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting me directly. For any other data requests please contact me at dominika@self-activate.com. If you have a complaint about how I handle your data, you have the right to contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
